AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY YOU SHOULD MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face. MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER CLICK!!!!
Sure you may love their photos, and their Instagram is perfectly curated. That’s all well and good, but have you thought of this; you are with your photographer, basicly standing next to this person, for 8-10 hour on the biggest day of your life. This is more than you will actually be with your fiancé/husband/wife/bride/groom.
Do I have your attention yet? …mmhmm thought so…
Things you should keep in mind as you are hiring a photographer, is what you want from them? Is this someone who you would want as a hype girl/guy? Is this someone that you want to be a fly on the wall and not be part of the day to a higher degree? Is this someone who you want to be your best friend, and stay connected with more than just a business relationship beyond your wedding?…or would be ok with that?
Photographers come in every shape and size, personality and openness. How do you know what works for you? The answer to that is truly much more simple than you can imagine. Coffee date, phone call, facetime/zoom. This will seriously get you thinking of all those little things. Can they hold a convo with you, make you feel special, connect on a deeper level…or is that even something you are comfortable with? Its up to you, seriously, your in charge.

Your emotions are going to be directly connected to your photos! Yep. Its science, Google it. If you don’t Jive with your photographer day of, those pictures are going to reflect it. And I’m not talking about what you look like, you are going to be the most STUNNING bride! What I’m saying is… when you look at those photos… you’re brain is going to subconsciously connect them to your feelings with your photographer. And if you didn’t have the best experience with them, because your personalities were different.. you see where I’m going with this?
BUT!! ITS THE SAME ON THE OTHER END!! Your emotional connection to the photos will be so much more excited and happy with the photos if you and your photographer had fun the whole time!
Science… The more you know!
I know you may want to jump on a good deal, or have fallen in love with the photos on their Instagram or website. But take the time to get to know this person, not only will you be dropping some major $$$ on your photographer, but you may make a friend for life in the process! And trust me, they will appreciate you for it just as much. They want to have fun too!
