The University of St. Thomas in Houston is where she and Israel first met, and where the beginning of their love story grew through slow walks, late conversations, and quiet moments on the beautiful campus grounds. So coming back here for their engagement session felt like stepping straight into the heart of their story.
These two are getting married on January 17, 2026, and their ceremony will take place at the stunning Chapel of St. Basil right on campus. Talk about full circle moments. Being able to photograph them in the place where everything began made the entire session feel incredibly special.
One of my favorite parts of this session was having them guide me through the campus as they shared memories from those early days. Jaydee pointing out favorite pathways, Israel remembering the exact spot where they used to sit together, both of them laughing about moments only the two of them know. Seeing the University of St. Thomas through their eyes showed me how powerful a location can be when it is a part of your love story.
Even though they are currently long distance as Israel works toward his doctorate and Jaydee builds her real estate career here in Houston, you would never know it from being around them. We planned this engagement session during one of Israel’s visits, and the moment they reunited, everything else fell away. The way he looks at her, the way she leans into him, the softness and playful energy they share. It is effortless. It is beautiful. It is the kind of love that photographs itself.
Their wedding next January at the Chapel of St. Basil is going to be pure magic, and I cannot wait to celebrate with them again on the campus that means so much to them.
