She found me through one of the very first weddings I ever photographed… and that bride is going to be a bridesmaid in Annie’s wedding.

For their engagement session, Matt and Annie chose the beautiful Lanier Theological Library in Houston, and honestly… we could not have picked a more magical location… or should I say, it picked us. After going back and forth about the location spots. We found this Gem! Originally thought we were photographing INSIDE the library, but what God had designed for us was instead a page out of a storybook romance! Like common, it looks like we caught a red-eye to Europe for these!!!
Lanier is one of those hidden gems in Houston, an English-inspired library lined with stone archways, warm light, winding paths, towering trees, and architecture that feels like something straight out of a storybook. If you didn’t know better, you’d think we flew to Oxford or somewhere abroad.
The second these two stepped onto the grounds, everything just clicked.
The softness. The calm. The historic charm. The way they naturally fell into each other.
It all felt so true to them.
Spending time with Matt and Annie felt peaceful in the best way. They have this quiet, sweet connection that photographs effortlessly. Every moment felt natural:
